When the going gets cold...

26 November 2005

... the cold make hats.

Et voila.

My first knitted hat.

My First Hat (by pix aged 29 and 2.5/12ths)

Close-up of Hat

Just over 4 hours work and less than one ball of Noro Silk Garden yarn (in colourway 225 - yes, I know it has pink in it. Shh.).

Nice!

Beck made an brilliant hat for herself with wool from our supremely dumb Jacob sheep.
She looked a little like an Afgan Mujahaden, but without the AK-47 you wouldn't even have noticed.

That is a very lovely hat. I'm tempted to start this knitting thing myself.

Not only can you take great photo's but you can knit too.
I came across your website by accident and am finding my photography course hard going, so seeing your photo's is helping to keep me going.
Thanks

Neil: You mean you have actual sheep and make actual yarn from their actual fleece? If so, that's very cool.

Cathy: Yeah, I saw that just as I started my hat. Great minds etc. :)

Dan: I can be persuaded, yes (as you saw, live and in person like).

L: Yes, you're first in the queue.

Christian: Thank you.

Jayne: Thanks and you're welcome.

Well, I don't. Beck does though, she is quite the carder, spinner, yarner and knitter is Beck. I know ‘knitter’ is a real word, not sure about the rest.

I just get to shear the stinking, wooly gits and mend the fences they demolish with their big, dumb, wooly faces - which is cool, if you mean cold.
