I'm starting to regret going for an attic room...
You call that a big pile of crap? That's only about the size of the pile of crap I threw out when I last moved.
And if you asked my wife, she'd probably tell you we've still got a bigger pile of crap than that in the house... me. (joke - hopefully!)
Oh god - I suspect the inside of our loft looks like that, but squared...
That is not a big pile. It is a Modest pile of necessities..
I can prove this, as the Pile of stuff in my Mum's garage that I just don't have room for here is bigger than the above!
Although, you are probably right about the Attic Room choice... ;-)

Crap is what you accumulate for no apparant reason, hang on to for no logical reason, and throw out, just before you realise why you kept it in the first place.

Oooh, I do feel your pain. I'm moving halfway across the world and haven't even considered the thought of packing yet. It just seems too painful... eeep.
It's amazing what we accumulate over the years, and can't seem to bring ourselves to throw away or donate to charity.
