Redecorated

Full marks to Sir Hg for correctly guessing that this is pixeldiva BST (blog summer time).

This design shall henceforth be known as "the narcissistic one" and shall be here until I get embarrassed about it and take it down, or replace the photo with something that's not me.

Usual caveats apply - if anything is totally borked in your browser, please let me know. Ta much.

Oooh! I like much!!

I like - very whited out futuristic.

My work monitor probably also likes. My boring old 800x600 home monitor insists on a horizontal scroll where there was none before...

That's because I made the sidebar column 300 pixels wide to accommodate my mug, and left the main column at 500, and that added with the 15px left and right padding adds up to more than 800 wide.

Sorry. I know it's a pain, but the main typepad site has now gone down and I can't get in to do anything about it.

Love this new layout!

I like the new design a lot, but you need some sort of imagry to counteract teh text on the bottom of the page.

Cool new design. Nice eye!

I think it's lovely.

I like it a lot. I've always found designing weblogs to be about one and a half times as thrilling as writing on them.

But still nowhere near as thrilling as a good old-fashioned Half-Life deathmatch.

Like lots. And it seems to work fine in Opera and Firefux.

Fantastic re-design and a truly stunning photo. Well done, that woman. I think I'm just going to stay here a while and breathe in the beauty, if you don't mind.

Was it my imagination or was the sidebar on the right before? Looked better like that, I thought, but I could have been dreaming it.

Fucking stunning! (Swearing ok?)

That's you? (right). Looks a little like Tori Amos (many years ago).

Steve

Fucking right too.

Thank you all...

Dan: most regular visitors never scroll that far down...

Pete: Half-life does indeed rock.

Lori: you weren't dreaming - I was trying to fix it so it'd work in ie5 (which I have in work) which it wasn't working in.

Steve: yes, it is me, and thank you.

Adrian: swearing ok.

Ooh, very nice - much easier on the eye. Now if you've done with it, I'll just borrow any spare inspiration....

I could take you all in a Half-Life deathmatch...

Looks great on a Mac with Safari, which is not always the case. Nice one.

Last time I tried playing Half-Life over the Internet my computer froze before I got into the game. If I can get it working, who is up for a few games this weekend? If we get enough people, we could even play TFC.

(now that I think about it, it was probably just firewall-related, so that shouldn't be a problem)

I like it very much. Very good work.

Love it. Absolutely love it. Can you see the peculiar shade of green I'm turning from where you are?

I think this is a great design too.
