Resting Place
The Story
I have this ritual.
Whenever I get a new camera, I take it in to work with me as soon as possible and then take it for a walk at lunchtime.
Last time I had a new camera, I got yellow mugs in the rain, this time I took a slightly different route and went through Regent Square, where I found a beautiful autumn leaf resting on a bench, a splash of warm autumn cheer against the cold black metal.

Yay! An update, finally. Cracking shot though - worth the wait... :-)
Looking forward to many more.

Ann, this shot is absolutely gorgeous. It is exactly as you say "a splash of warm autumn cheer against the cold black metal."
I like the post-work to give that central colour with a black and white background. It emphasises the message all the more.
P.S. Any chance you can put it up on Flickr so I can add it to my favourites?
