Loved to death
The Story
These shoes have got to be one of my best eBay bargains ever.
Including postage, they cost me less than £10, and were near enough new when I got them, and I loved them. They were smart, funky and most of all, comfortable.
So I wore them.
A lot.
Unfortunately, I seem to have loved them to death. I thought they were merely ailing, until I stepped in a puddle the other day, and as my shoes filled up with water (via the hole in each sole), I almost shed a tear.

I love this photo-- the death of a favorite pair sometimes feels like you've lost a best friend...
