Future Salad
The Story
Walking along Upper Street, refusing to let the rain stop me from testing out the new camera to see how it performed in the dark, my attention was drawn to the brightly lit window of the kitchen shop.
When I say my attention was drawn to, I mean my magpie like brain processed two words "oooh!" and "shiny!".
I then proceeded to take several pictures through the window, of which this is only one, but perhaps my favourite*. I just love the texture of the wooden salad bowl and tongs against the plastic chilli pepper and the smoothness of the porcelain spoon rest.
Someone will, someday, make a really posh salad, the likes of which I'd never actually eat, out of this bowl.
*not just for it's photographic merits, which are potentially debatable, but because this was taken at 1600 ISO, the likes of which would previously have been entirely unusable, and is shown here without any noise reducation applied whatsoever.
