Far Away
The Story
I lived, for a while, in a building the likes of which I doubt I'll ever live in again.
I loved it, but felt like Julia Roberts in the early part of Pretty Woman for most of the time I lived there - I just didn't belong there.
My favourite place in the whole building was the secret roof terrace, which I found by accident, months after I moved in.
Standing there, I could see almost the whole of London, stretched out in front of me - from the towers of Canary Wharf to the BT tower - so tiny, so far away.
It was beautiful at any time of the day or night, but with the full moon that night, it was simply magical.
