The Story

Gordon chose his wedding day, which neatly coincides with my birthday.

For this particular birthday, I went to see the Vagina Monologues and, while waiting for the train home, started playing with my camera in the tube station, snapping candid portraits.

This photo was just pure luck, and remains one of my favourites - It just happened that my camera was pointing in the direction of the couple when the girl put the bag strap between her teeth to tie her jumper round her waist.

It was only months later when I looked at it that I realised I'd got the pair of punks in the background too.
