Okay, I'm curious (again).
I know there are a reasonable number of people who visit here on a daily basis that aren't looking for some random stuff through google.
You arrive here via bookmarks or bloglines or whatever, but you never comment and I have no idea who you are.
So humour me please, and say hello?
Partly it's because I'd like to have a better idea who my current audience is while I'm in the process of redesigning the site (1 November is approaching way too quickly for my liking), and partly, well, I'm just nosy.
So whoever you are, if you haven't commented here before, give it a go. I don't bite*.
*well, not unless I'm asked nicely.
hey Pix
i think i've commented before, but not from this side of the world (i'm an aussie, who is unfortunately back in aus at the moment)! i was living in London until april and think I found your site almost 2 years ago through googling for some photos, and have been hooked ever since. your photos are always awesome and i always enjoy your posts.
bec
I might have left a message or two, I am an ex-pat Brit living in NY.
I think I commented a couple of times, but "regular reader via the feed"
I do comment from time-to-time, but I mostly read to make sure you're OK ;)
found your site via some photo searching, been reading the feed since
I always find it annoying that I don't know who's reading my blog because blogrolls are so passé these days, and some people never comment... then I realise that I rarely comment on others' blogs, so who am I to complain?
I've been reading via your RSS since... um, pretty much since the last time you redesigned, though I can't remember when that was!
Hi,
delurking as requested. Usually read via the feed and I got here having met you once at a bloggers get together
i used to be a lurker but im alright now :)
And, actually i have met ms pixel and it weirded me out cos it was so unexpected, but i can confirm that she didnt bite.
Does this mean I'm not allowed to comment, as I've done so before?
Okay, am actually quite surprised how many people read via feed, and this is really useful info and means I'll put a bit more work into putting a more useful feed together.
The circumstances in which I met Simon still make me giggle for the pure randomness of it all.
... and Lyle, as if I would try and stop you (or anyone who regularly comments) commenting - I'm just trying to draw out the lurkers :)
Well, hello from Edinburgh, Scotland! I've arrived via Daisy - never even lurked before, but I might from now on ;-)
Forgive me if this is being cheeky but as we are both Zinnia fans you may forgive me. I came across a blog 'Growing up' and didn't book mark it and can't find it anywhere. Can you help? Will be back - not lurking
Oh it's not cheeky at all, but it's not one that immediately leaps to mind.
Do you remember at all what colour it was or whether it was a male or female who wrote it and/or their location?
hiya
i'm a fellow scot, but now live in leeds and usually read on my lunch break.
Hi, delurking as requested. I can't think of anything else particular to say, which is probably why I tend to lurk :)
hi. i really love your current design and am trying to encorporate some of the elements into a page for my web design class....
All I can remember is she was, seemingly, a simple Irish girl (simple as in sweet, unspoiled)and her comment elsewhere (goodness knows where) inspired me to read her blog. That'll teach me to bookmark in future. Thanks anyway.
Hey, i randomly found your site through a london underground one and i find it amusing. I'm a newbie here but feel free to check out my blog please?
I'm fairly certain that I've commented before but can't be certain. I have a horrible memory :) I'm an American in Minnesota. I love your pictures and your sense of humor. Always makes me laugh!
I have commented a couple of times - but often anything I want to say someone else has got there first! But I like dropping by - your blog is always SO pretty!
It has been a while since I last commented.
A third of lurkers say they prefer lurking, that it gives them the best of internet - access to 1000's of sites, while by-passing the worst, personal insults and abuse.
But that doesn't mean Lurkers can't be lured out.
Hellooo, I too am a fellow Scot, found an incarnation of your site a few years ago when I was living in London and was looking for all things Scottish on the web.
Now back in Glasgow but still read your site. Love the photos btw
I found your site one day when I was insecure about finding grey hair. Isn't that goofy? I found you via a search for being 32 years old and having grey hair.
I come here and read often because I enjoy your outlook on life :)
I comment sometimes, but blend nicely into the background for a change.
I found you looking for photography, and I like your work.
OK - time to stop 'lurking' (I'm new to these blog sites, I gather that means looking without commenting!?) I found your site via Annie Moles' tube blog. Anyway, love your site. Cheers Ian
Hi Pixel
Consider me delurked.
Can't remember exactly how I found your site but enjoy looking at your photos.
Cheers
Vic in Sydney
Hmmm... but I might like it if you bite me. Gently.
*waves quietly*
I'm one of the bloglines crowd.
hi. i'm a professional stalker. i've chosen you as a training exercise.
no, seriously. i was bored and stumbled across your site. i'm not bored now so i don't know why i still come. maybe i find you amusing.
i'll go away if you like.
love, ro.
I too was a lurker, but not anymore! Found your site whilst looking up parcelforce delays, and came across a picture of a parcelforce van embedded in your mum's house! Been checking back ever since, I'm just nosy really.
I'm Dan. I'm not really a lurker as I comment all the time.
Obviously not a lurker! But Pix you may want to have a look at my theory as to why quite a lot of people may not comment and I think it is how they view/read blogs through RSS - http://blog.360.yahoo.com/themole7?p=66. It's a thought, anyway.
Regular-ish reader, found you via Little Red Boat (I think). I like reading a knitter's blog that isn't mostly about knitting. I like the pictures. I may or may not have commented.
Delurking can be a bit scary on sites that obviously have lots of chatty regulars. Somehow one doesn't know if one is welcome to join in, and if you leave a comment or two and they get ignored, that's discouraging. Which is silly, since I don't reply to every comment, and I suspect the same thing happens on my blog. Ah well.
Consider me de-lurked, as per request.
First found your blog via photoblogs.org, subsequently via flickr, and pop back in occasionally for no particular reason - apart from the fact that I enjoy your writing and photography.
ex-zone 1 londoner, now zone 19 (or thereabouts, approximately !)
Lurk mode re-engaged.
Hi,
I commented a while ago on the image that you use on your homepage, does that count? Don't think I've commented on your blog proper though, so consider it done. How about repaying the compliment?
Hello...'"tis better to say little and be thought a fool, than to say much and remove all doubt"..so I stay fairly quiet...just in case :-)
Hello! - thanks for the pics of Ally Pally, I really enjoyed looking vicariously ...!
Hi!
Wow... that's a lot of lurkers! I'm impressed that you've coaxed them out of their silence, pix.
First came here via Casino Avenue, kept coming back for the pictures.
Uh, never really stopped…
Hallo, I took a look at your site - impressed! Had seen mention of your making a curly wurly scarf and wondered if it might be pictured. Best wishes,
Just a little wulf stopping by to say hi. Hope today is as good as you want it to be :)
per your request; "HELLO!"
I discovered your photos at photographytips.com
you seem to notice some of the things I do, but you capture them very well, as I only have time to capture my 3 energetic children
love your photos
appreciate your sense of humor
the first time I've bookmarked anybody's personal site
be back to check out the rest of your pics
elsa, from california, interested in photography, don't even know what a blog is,
with 3 children, 1 "adopted" 17 year nephew, great husband, 1 really cute dog, and two stray cats (just so you know who your audience is:)
Hi Ms Diva (or may I call you "Pixel"?)
Bruce
Well, I de-lurked. If you are interested, I started at Annie Mole's LU blog, thence to Neil and so found you. Serendipity. (Actually, I am not really a "lurker" as this was my first visit.) I'll be back.
I've commented before, but I thought you should have another one.
I read your blog whenever I get a chance too. I love your insight and your humor and your photography as well.
You may remember me. I'm Nikki from Amadaun.Net. Hope all is well!
Your post made me laugh. I'm guilty of lurking on loads of blogs at the moment. Suppose I found yours when searching for 'knitting blog' on the google blog search. I'm just a beginner.
Have fun with the D50 btw. Nikon make some great cameras. I bought a D70 a few months ago - it's ace!
Heya :oP
I do a lot of browsing while I'm at work and I usually visit your lovely site once a week or so... Just cos I'm a nosey bugger really.
hey are we a cult now (:
I lurk [sheepish grin].
