Home Safely

7 July 2005

I've never been more glad to have been feeling rubbish and decided not to rush into work in my life.

It's taken me two hours to get back home from 15 minutes away.

One of my colleagues was on the affected train at Kings Cross, but she's fine. Another missed the explosion at Liverpool Street by 5 minutes.

A third I'm waiting to hear about.

I feel a bit sick, but I'm very, very glad to be safe.

Update at 13:50: 3rd colleague safe and well and in the office. As far as I'm able to find out, nobody from my office has been injured.

Hi Ann,

Geez...Just heard this thing now. Holy #%^$%#&@^#

Glad you're Ok. I don't get to watch much TV while on vacation/work.

I guess they could not touch NY anymore but I bet NYC is locked down now.

PS: using a D70 now... and liking it. Nope not mine :)

My thoughts are with those people who were less fortunate and got caught up in the bombings. Its been coming for a while, the authorities have warned us.Still it is shocking and awful for those who were victims, and their families. We must wake up to the danger, and steel ourselves for more. But above all...dont panic!...thats what these people want.

Awful news, our hearts go out to you all in London. Glad to hear you weren't caught up in the worst of it.

I didn't hear the news until this morning - I'm glad to know you (and your friends) are all safe and well. (I went straight from the TV to the computer to come and check on you.)
