13 December 2006
I was going to write a post full of excuses why I've been gone for so long, but then I caught up with various blogs and when I got to Gordon's I was stunned to the point of out-loud exclamation to find out that Leslie Harpold is dead. I didn't know her personally, but I've known her name, her websites and her work for years, and it's more unsettling that I expected to find out that she's gone.
I don't know what it's been about 2006, but overwhelmingly, despite pockets of good, it's been a year of death, strife and angst, and although things are looking up for me now, I have to say, I won't be partlicularly sad to see the back of it.
RIP Leslie.
Yup. Exact same reaction to me, although I did exchange some emails I certainly didn't know her but she came across as very generous, intelligent and friendly. A loss.
Here's to a better 2007 huh!
welcome back
Oh my goodness. I don't know how I missed this news before - I'm stunned.
2006 wasn't a bad year for me, but like so many others I must admit that I'm glad it is over.
